The UK Government have proposed changing the period when new cars and motorcycles require their 1st MOT from 3 years to 4. As a garage we see first-hand what car’s look like at their first MOT, we feel extending the 1st MOT by a year is a major safety issue. We are not alone in this, the government themselves have stated that this will lead to 17 additional road deaths per year. This is ludicrous, 1 more death is too much!
