The Government has launched a new service to check if a vehicle has an outstanding safety recall.
The service allows anyone wanting to buy a used car, and existing car owners, to check for an outstanding vehicle safety recall. All you need to do is enter your car’s registration number.
By law, car dealers must fix safety recalls free of charge before selling cars to consumers.

Another way to check history is to go to https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history put in the registration of the vehicle, and it’s full MOT history will come up. Allowing you to see how many fails, and advisory items have been replaced in the past!
