The pace at this year’s The Snowman Rally was rather impressive. Generated a fast pace, thrilling day of racing with each team going all out to fight for podium finishes.
Michael Binnie & Claire Mole went all out and got themselves a very well-deserved 1st place podium finish, with Jock Armstrong & Cameron Fair in 2nd place and David Bogie & Kevin Rae in 3rd place.
Freddie Milne & Patrick Walsh deserve a mention due to their strong effort just being pipped to the post at the last minute for a podium finish due to the car cutting out mid-stage!
Our local crews had some very interesting runs – some good, some not so good!
BMB Motorsport Bruce & Mike fought hard, sadly a puncture midway through SS4 and damage to a rear brake line left them siting 7th o/a and 3rd in class.
Scott McCombie Rallying Scott & Charley had a strong result for the first rally in a while which resulted in 11th o/a and 5th in class.
John Wink Rallying John & Neil had a bit of a mare with a visit to a ditch in SS3, but the guys still managed 23rd o/a and 10th in class.
Moates Offshore Ltd Mike & Gary thoroughly enjoyed their rally, a few minor hiccups but great finish with 34th o/a and 2nd in class.
Can’t wait to see what happens at the The McDonald and Munro Speyside Stages on the 23rd of April!
